Starting Amazon EC2 Failover to Replica

Before starting a replica failover job for Amazon EC2, make sure that you have an EC2 replication job with at least one backup available. Refer to Creating Amazon EC2 Replication Jobs for details.

To start the procedure of switching an Amazon EC2 system workload to a backup EC2 Instance, click Recover in the Jobs menu, and then click Replication failover for Amazon EC2 in the EC2 Full Recovery section.

Alternatively, the failover can be performed by using the Search function.
